lift kits, nothing could be more true. Just because the picture of one lift looks like
another, there are several things to take into account. What is the warranty? (BDS is
a lifetime no fine print warranty) What kind of material is used? How well the kit fits
your truck? Many of the cheaper kits do not fit properly and often have driveability
problems. With all the money you invest in your vehicle, don't skimp on your lift. You
don't want your $20-40 thousand dollar truck to drive like a $500 junker.
4. Online nightmares! Buying online may be convenient at the time, but what
happens when you try to warranty the item you purchased? Usually the internet
company that you purchased the product from blows you off by telling you to contact
the products manufacturer. They were so friendly when you had your credit card in
your hand, but now when it comes to customer service they score a big fat zero. Here
at Diversified customer service is number one. If the product you purchased carries a
manufacturer warranty and is defective, bring your original receipt to one of our
friendly sales staff and we will take care of all of the headaches for you.

7. Tire Load Range! We have seen one ton trucks come into our shop with standard
load tires on them! The person believed they got a great deal because they spent
thirty dollars less per tire than what we quoted them. Once we informed them that
they were the wrong load range for their vehicle, they were not so happy. Majority of
tire shops want to sell you what they have in stock, at Diversified we want to sell you a

8. DOES INSTALLING AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT VOID MY FACTORY
WARRANTY? NO. Most vehicle owners are protected by federal law: the
Magnuson-Moss Warranty-Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act of 1975.
Under the Magnuson-Moss Act, aftermarket equipment which improves performance
does not void a vehicle manufacturer's original warranty, unless the warranty clearly
and conspicuously states that aftermarket equipment voids the warranty. In other
words, that means a dealer cannot wiggle out of his legal warranty obligation merely
because you install aftermarket equipment. To find out if any aftermarket equipment
voids your warranty, check the owner's manual. It is likely under the heading "What is
not covered". Although the language seems negative, remember your vehicle
manufacturer is simply saying he does not cover the aftermarket products themselves.
He is not saying that the products would void the vehicle warranty. A dealer must
prove-not just say-that aftermarket equipment caused the need for repairs before he
can deny warranty coverage on that basis.
